Transformative Aeronautics Concepts Program
NASA has created a new digital modelling tool for aeronautical engineers to innovate new aircraft designs, building on decades of experience using highly advanced computer code for aviation. Using this tool, researchers can create simulations of conceptual aircraft featuring never-flown technology and receive detailed data about how it would work.

Transformative Aeronautics Concepts Program
NASA will co-host the two-day Stability and Control Prediction Workshop II (S&CPW2) during the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics’ (AIAA) annual SciTech Forum in January 2025. A kickoff meeting for the 2025 gathering is scheduled for Jan. 8, 2024, during the AIAA SciTech 2024 Forum in Orlando, Fla.

NASA has selected three university-led teams for the first round of a new technical challenge pursuing innovative aviation maintenance practices. These university teams will receive funding from NASA for a two-year research term exploring aviation maintenance challenges related to NASA’s strategic vision for aeronautics.

Dr. Azlin Biaggi-Labiosa, born and raised in Puerto Rico, made a courageous decision to pivot her academic studies – launching her towards an accomplished career in defense, space, and aeronautics research for NASA. She headed to medical school after earning her undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico.
